This article was simultaneously published in Collier's magazine in the U.S. under the title, "Unlucky Alfonoso," and was subsequently included in GREAT CONTEMPORARIES under the title "Alfonso XII." This is a very good copy of the original Strand Magazine, with some chipping to tail of spine, two words discreetly inked on rear cover, else fine.
